VEX IQ combines hands-on robot design with fast-moving match strategy. In small teams, students build, program, test, and continuously improve a robot for the season's game—giving every member substantial time with the hardware and code.

We match prospective students by grade, experience, availability, and roster fit. Because teams are intentionally small, the inquiry path is more accurate than a generic online checkout.

Frequently asked questions
Does my child need VEX experience?
Not necessarily. Prior building or coding experience can help, but students can also prepare through UP Robotics classes and instructor guidance.
How is VEX IQ different from FLL Challenge?
VEX IQ emphasizes robot performance and match strategy. FLL Challenge combines robot missions with an Innovation Project, judged presentations, and FIRST® Core Values.
What comes after VEX IQ?
Older students ready for metal construction, Java programming, and a larger robot can explore an FTC team.
