How UP Robotics collects, uses, and shares information about families in our robotics, coding, and STEM programs in Bethesda, MD.

Last updated: August 3, 2026

UP Robotics Corporation, a Maryland corporation doing business as UP Robotics, runs robotics, coding, and STEM programs for K-12 students at 7801 Woodmont Ave, Floor 2, Bethesda, MD 20814. This page explains what information we collect about your family, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

If anything here is unclear, email info@uprobotics.tech or call (301) 578-5374. A real person will answer.

What we collect

From parents and guardians. Your name, email address, phone number, and billing details when you register a child, book a birthday party, or contact us. Payment card numbers go directly to our booking and payment provider. We never see or store them.

About students. A student's first and last name and their grade or age. Parents give us this when they enroll. Sometimes a parent adds something we should know, such as an allergy or an accommodation. We keep that while the child is in our programs and for one year afterward, then delete it.

Automatically, when you use our website. Pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location by city, and device and browser type. This comes from cookies and similar technology, described below.

When you enroll. Booking history, the classes and camps a student has attended, and how you heard about us if you answered that question at checkout.

Why we use it

To run classes and camps, take payment, and keep rosters. To reach you about a class your child is enrolled in, including schedule changes, closures, and anything that affects their safety. To answer questions you send us. To tell you about upcoming sessions and enrollment periods. To understand which of our marketing actually brings families to us, and to stop paying to advertise to families who already attend.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone who wants to market their own products to you.

We do share it with service providers who help us operate:

We will also share information if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect a child, a staff member, or the public.

Advertising, and how to opt out

We advertise on Google, Facebook, and Instagram to reach families in and around Bethesda.

To avoid wasting money advertising to families who are already with us, we sometimes upload a list of parent email addresses and phone numbers to an advertising platform so it can recognize existing customers and exclude them, or find new audiences that resemble them. The platform hashes these values, which means they are converted into a scrambled form before matching.

Two limits we hold ourselves to:

To opt out, email info@uprobotics.tech and say you do not want your information used for advertising audiences. We will remove you and confirm when it is done. You do not have to explain why, and it will not affect your child's enrollment.

You can also control ad personalization directly through Google's ad settings and Meta's ad preferences.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to remember your session and to run Google Analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you from browsing the site or enrolling.

Children's privacy

Everything we know about a student comes from that student's parent or guardian. We do not ask children to create accounts, fill in forms, or give us their information directly, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13.

If you believe a child has given us information directly, email info@uprobotics.tech and we will delete it.

Because we operate in Maryland, we also do not sell personal information about anyone under 18 or use it for targeted advertising, regardless of whether consent was given.

Your rights

Maryland residents can ask us to:

Email info@uprobotics.tech to make a request. We will respond within 45 days. If we cannot do what you asked, we will tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to that message. If we deny the appeal, you can contact the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.

To stop marketing email without deleting anything, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message. You will still get messages about a class your child is currently enrolled in.

How long we keep it

Enrollment and payment records are kept as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes. Contact details for families who have not enrolled in several years are removed when we review our lists. Notes about a child's allergies or accommodations are deleted one year after the child leaves our programs.

Security

Enrollment and payment data sits with our booking provider, which handles card processing. Our own copies of family contact information are stored in a private database that is not reachable from the public internet and is limited to the people who run the business.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your family's information, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will email families directly rather than expecting anyone to notice a website edit.
